APC launches presidential, gubernatorial campaign, others in Adamawa State
The All Progressives Congress Party has successfully launched its Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaigns in Adamawa State with almost all major Stakeholders in attendance.
The Muhammadu Buhari Square in Yola, Adamawa State, venue of the programme was filled to the brim with supporters from far and near to be part of the historic event.
President Muhammadu Buhari, and the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu in their separate remarks, assured the people of better days if voted into power.
They called on the people of Adamawa State to vote for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani as Governor of Adamawa State and all other APC Candidates at all levels.
Quoting the adage which says, ” what a man can do, a woman can do even better” they pointed out that as a woman, Senator Binani has shown the zeal and commitment to leave up to the task of providing better governance, stable economy, and improved security where the youths and the women will be gainfully employed, to give in their own contributions in nation building.”
They promised that APC would create job opportunities, good health care delivery system and education as well as eradicate poverty for the betterment of the lives of the people.
In the same vein, the Campaign Director-General, APC Presidential Campaign, Mr. Simon Lalong who is also the Governor of Plateau State, and the APC Governor’s Forum Chairman, Senator Atiku Bagudu , the Governor of Kebbi State, and Former Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako appreciated the support given to the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Adamawa by the President, the Party and at home Adamawa State in the quest for producing the first woman Governor in the state.
They appealed for the votes of the people of Adamawa State towards actualising their dream of displacing the PDP out of governance.
In her remarks, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC in Adamawa State, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani, wooed the electorate by promising to create jobs in the state for the teaming youths and women, transforming the states’ infrastructure, as well as prompt payment of salaries to workers among others.
She appreciated the support of President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the National Party Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu as well as her teaming supporters in the state.
In his message, the Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Manassah Daniel Jatau, who represented Governor Inuwa Yahaya, expressed the goodwill of the Governor and people of Gombe State to the party and it’s flag bearers at all levels across the country, especially in Adamawa State.
He said, the APC has performed very well at the national level and other states where they are in control, calling on the people to vote for the party at all levels for good governance, accountability, effective and efficient provision of democracy dividends.
The campaign launch which had in attendance former and serving ministers, former and serving Governors and other top party stalwarts was preceded by a courtesy call on the Lamido of Adamawa, Mohammed Aliyu Mustapha.
