Gov Yahaya Decries Gombe- Potiskum Express Road
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, on Tuesday decried the current state of Gombe/Potiskum Federal highway.
Our Correspondent reports that the highway connects Gombe, Yobe States.
Yahaya, made this disclosure at the Emir of Nafada’s palace in continuation of his campaign at the Local Government.
The governor’s campaign train earlier toured Jigawa Nafada, Gudukku before arriving Emir Muhammad Dadum Hamza’s palace.
The train also visited Nafada East, Nafada Central, Nafada West, Barwo Winde, Barwo Nasarawo before proceeding to Birin Fulani East, Birin Fulani west, Bolawa and Wawa in Funakaye emirate canvassing for votes.
Yahaya said, “I have discussed with the Minister of works Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, on behalf the users of the road. He has assured me that as soon as they get another SUKUK loan this road will be one of the first in Federal Government’s consideration.”
While urging the residents to support the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu, towards continuation of good governance especially delivering promises of the current administration, the governor added, “Already we have the Federal Government’s assurance.”
On his part, Emir of Nafada, Hamza commended the governor for his administration’s commitment in bringing the much needed development to the area.
Dadum, assured the governor of his blessings and the support of his emirate, adding that, “your works speaks volume from education, healthcare services and so on.”
