JIBWIS: Fortune University To Focus On Islamic, Western Education
…..raises over 1.2 billion through appeal fund
The persistent commitment of the Jama’tul Izalatul Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), founded by Ash-Sheikh Ismaila Idris Bin Zakariyya, to the promotion of education as the basic component of propagating Islam has culminated into the establishment of a University to focus on both Islamic and western educational needs of the people.

An appeal fund launch for the Institution named “Fortune University” at Magama Toro Local government area of Bauchi State Saturday, attracted dignitaries from far and near.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the event, Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed, commended the Izala group for prioritising education in its activities.

He said his administration has been keenly keeping in touch with the progress of the group in that direction and assured continued working in partnership to achieve the goal of providing quality education to the citizenry.
Delivering the good will message of Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, his representative the Secretary to the State Government SSG, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, appreciated the leader of the Izala group Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, for his relentless service to humanity.

Njodi, recalled when as Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri the revered Shiekh, consulted him for advice on the plan for establishment of the University which today has become a reality.
In his remark, Sheikh Jingir, expressed his believe in education as a tool for human emancipation and empowerment without which even basic religious obligations may not be observed effectively.

While appreciating the Bauchi State Government for providing the 120,000 hectares of land for the citing of the University, the Sheihk also thanked the Governor of Gombe State and others who sent delegations to the event.
He also informed the gathering that all procedures for the establishment of the University was followed including approval from the National University Commission (NUC), assuring of the organisation’s commitment to ensure success of the project appealing for donations from spirited individuals.
The sum of over 1.2 billion naira was realised during the appeal fund launch with the Presidential candidates of APC and PDP donating 120 Million and 100 Million naira respectively.
Other major donors are the 19 northern governors 50 million each and the deputy speaker House of representatives Rt. Honourable Idris Wase 50 Million amongst other donors.
Njodi who represented Governor Inuwa Yahaya was accompanied by the Commissioners Finances and Economic Development Mohammed Gambo Magaji, his Commerce, Trade and Industry counterpart Nasiru Muhammed Aliyu, Special Advisers, Executive Secretary SEMA and directors in the office of the SSG.
