Taraba PRP chairman denies corruption allegations, suspension

The chairman People’s Redemption Party PRP Taraba state chapter, Mr. Abdullahi Maikasuwa, on Tuesday denied the corruption allegations leveled against him by some members of the party and his consequent suspension as chairman of the party in Taraba state.
Maikasuwa noted during the occasion of presentation of certificate of return to candidates contesting for various offices in the party said, those trying to paint black his good name were only out to destroy the party’s super waves been established for possible victory in the next coming election.

The party chairman alleged that those behind the allegation were being sponsored by both PDP and APC who feels threatened, having seen that the waves of victory were favouring the PRP in Taraba.
“I want to make it clear to you that, i am not suspended, and I do no have corruption elements in me.
“I have never displayed any act of corruption or any act that is contrary to the provisions of our party’s Constitution. The national Secretariat of our party is headed by people of integrity and would not accommodate any corrupt practice from any one.
“I am a man with no questionable character, those behind the false allegations against me are being sponsored by both PDP and APC to destroy the super waves been established by our party for possible victory. Both the PDP and APC are feeling threatened by the kind of support we gaining by the day ahead of the election, and that is have succeeded in injecting into some of our members to destroy our waves ahead of the election.
“I wish to however call on every member of the party to throw behind whatever feelings they may be having against me and join me to deliver the party in all positions,” The chairman expressed.
Earlier, Haj. Rekiya Sani, the PRP national woman leader, encouraged members to explore all possible ways without the inclusion of violence acts to ensure victory of the party both at the national and in Taraba state. She also advised members to embrace unity for the purpose and development of the party in Taraba.
Meanwhile, Hon. Mansur Babanyaya, while responding on behalf of the candidates, pledge their continues loyalty for the party for the interest and development of Taraba State.
Hon. Mansur disclosed that, they have already deployed their arsenals at the local levels to ensure victory in the election.
