Voting For NNPP Is A Vote For Freedom, Socio-Economic Prosperity, As Mailantarki Predicts 2023 As Year Of Liberation
Gombe State Governorship candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), in the forthcoming 2023 elections, Hon. Khamis Ahmed Mailantarki, has stated that, the New Year, will be a year of liberation for Gombe State citizens.
He disclosed this in a statement obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA on Sunday to felicitate with the people of the state on the New Year celebrations.
Mailantarki’s statement partly read, “As we approach the 2023 general election, I beseech the good people of Gombe state to use their voting franchise to elect credible leaders who have the masses in their hearts.
“I assure you, voting me under the podium of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) as the next Governor of Gombe state is synonymous to voting for freedom and economic prosperity.
“It’s obvious that the present leadership in Gombe state has failed its responsibilities in all ramifications; security, education, agriculture, human capital development among others.
“The hitherto proscribed ‘Yan Kalare’ thugs by the previous administration have regrettably resurfaced under the watch of today’s leadership.”
Mailantarki reminded them that, it’s no doubt that the past few years have been quite challenging adding that, the Covid-19 pandemic, global economic adversity, and conflicts in many parts of the world have affected Nigeria and its citizens.
He noted that, the most notable is the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by the Russian regime.
According to him, the negative impact has been grossly felt and affected the livelihood of millions of citizens in Nigeria.
“The heinous activities of the Boko Haram and Bandits largely operating in the North, particularly the North Eastern region, is something to be worried and reflect about as we ushered into the 2023. I’ll use this opportunity to commiserate with the families of the victims of such cold-heartedness.
“In all we have gone through, purposeful leadership provides succour to the despaired and despondent citizens and where there’s abysmal neglect by those in authority, the masses bear the brunt and hold the short end of the stick.
“While wishing us happy new and prosperous 2023, I want to pledge to the good people of Gombe state that God’s willing, it would be a year of political and economic liberation in the state,” the statement added.
