Residents of Borno State in North-East, Nigeria especially business owners are up for a blissful transaction as Air Peace is set to commence air movement to the state.
Air Peace in a newsletter to PERISCOPE NIGERIA, said the route is coming soon.
Our Correspondent reports that this would be a major boost for the rejuvenation of businesses, which has been dampened by the deadly Boko Haram insurgency in the region.
Maiduguri, prior to the hay days of the insurgency was known as hub for business ranging from dried fish, which is usually packaged and moved to as far as Aba, and other Agricultural commodities. Others are Perfumes, Caps popularly known as Hula, to the lovely fabrics with great choice of colours and designs.
Most importantly, the tourism wealth of the state is uncommon but the insecurity challenges seemed to have declined it economic viability to residents quest for survival and existence.
The letter partly read, “Air Peace to Maiduguri coming soon.”
The indigenous air carrier, owned by Alex Onyema, has over the years shown patriotism, depth and desire to become the industry leader aside certain unforseen circumstances which sometimes leads to flight delays, cancelations, rerouting.
