Emir Sunusi: Ganduje Describes Him as Embodiment of Culture, Humility
In his description of the late Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi, while commiserating with the government and people of Jigawa state over the death of the Emir, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state, described the late as an embodiment of humility and culture.
“On behalf of the government and people of Kano state, I am extending our condolences to Jigawa state government, his immediate families and people of the state over the death of our revered Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi, who passed away when we needed him the most,” governor Ganduje said.
Adding that, Emir’s demise leaves a great vacuum in the traditional institution as a whole in not only Jigawa state, but to the entire Caliphate of Uthman Dan Fodio across many communities in the country and beyond.
“We really lost a great, amiable, humble, exceptionally disciplined and righteous Emir. Who believes in creating harmonious relationship between traditional institution and the public. We indeed lost a rare gem of all fronts,” he emphasised.
“May Allah forgive all his shortcomings in life. May Jannatul Fiddaus be his final abode in the hereafter. May Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala assist what he left to continue following his footsteps,” governor Ganduje prayed.
