…..preaches peace ahead of the 2023 general elections

 

 

The Commissioner of Police Gombe State Command CP Oqua Etim, has continued to tour  Local Government Areas, this time he was in Kaltungo, Billiri Chiefdoms and Akko Emirate council.

The Commissioner disclosed that the essence of the visits was geared towards soliciting support and seeking fatherly counsel and blessings from the royal father’s; Mai Kaltungo Engineer Saleh Muhammad Umar, Mai Tangle Alhaji Sanusi Danladi Maiyamba And the Lamido of Akko Alhaji Umar Muhammad Atiku.

Earlier in his address the Commissioner of Police said he deemed it fit to pay homage and accord respect, CP  Etim appealed to the three Royal Fathers to use their influence and fatherly positions to talk to the members of their communities to shun violence or any other vices and conduct themselves concerning the rule of law.

He also commended their efforts in ensuring that peace strives in their respective community.

The CP reiterated the command’s readiness to provide adequate security before, during and after the Election.

Responding, the Mai Kaltungo applauded the Commissioner for the visit and assured him of their commitment to maintaining the relative peace enjoyed by the loving people of his community.

In his remark, Mai Tangle added that the commissioner of police would continue to have their maximum support and cooperation in ensuring Gombe remained the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

The Lamido of Akko, welcomed the Commissioner of police and thanked him for the visit to his emirate.

Expressing their gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, the three Palaces gave out gifts to the CP and wished him alongside his entourage a safe trip back to their destination.
