The Gombe State Labour Party Gubernatorial candidate, Keftin Amuga, has rejected the announced results for presidential election describing it as “vote manipulation, predetermined fraud and malpractices”, by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

Amuga in a statement made available by his campaign media office on Tuesday said “the result of 26,160 votes allotted to Labour Party in Gombe State, was not the true reflection of the total number of votes cast in the state. Accordingly, thereby rejecting the results in its entirety.”

Our Correspondent reports that candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar was declared winner in the state having polled 319,123, to defeat Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress who scored 146,977.

While condemning the collation process of results in the state, Amuga alleged that the election even the results in Gombe South, the strong base of the Labour Party appeared manipulated.

He called on INEC to upload its results on Bimodal Voters Accreditation System machines, adding that “the Commission should have uploaded the results of the election on the BVAS as required by the 2022 amended electoral act, before announcing credible results.”

The Labour Party Gubernatorial candidate while calling for calm for authorities reverse the alleged malpractices, congratulated the electorate for voting for Labour Party in Gombe state and, “I wish to call for calm in the state as all efforts are in top gear to ensure that INEC correct the issues in real time,” Amuga’s statement partly added.
