APC probes serving Gombe Senator, Reps member, others over anti-party activity

The All Progressives Congress has accused Senator representing Gombe south zone, Amos Bulus of working against the party at the just concluded general elections.
The ward recommended to the state chapter, stiffer penality that may include expulsion.
Recall that Senator representing Gombe Central Danjuma Goje, is facing similar investigation for working against the party in the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections.
Addressing newsmen on Tuesday, chairman of APC, Bambam ward in Balanga local government, Muhammad Kaka, expressed concern that the Bulus, having benefited from the governing party failed to contribute to the success of APC in 2023.
According to him, characters like senator Bulus “should not be tolerated in or around our party.”
The ward publicity secretary, Michael Jonah added that a committee was set up and given two weeks to investigate the role of Bulus in both presidential and governorship elections.
“The committee found out that Bulus played inglorious role in the governorship poll, in fact he said it openly that he would not support the governor and truly, he lost all the seven polling units in his ward.
“These kind of people ought not to be in our party or around it,” he added.
In a related development, Yunusa Abubakar, member representing Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency, has been marked for punitive measure following alleged anti-party involvement in his zone.
Secretary of the party at Lubo/Kinafa/Difa ward of Yamaltu/Deba Local Government where the representative comes from, Sama’ila Aliyu, alleged that Abubakar only supported Senator Goje in the last election but aligned with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party candidates in other elections.
He said, “an investigation panel has been set up against the lawmaker (Abubakar) and 57 other stalwarts of the party that participated in anti-party acts.”
