The Peoples Democratic Party Gombe State chapter has asked the security agencies to arrest State Coordinator Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress Jamilu Gwamna, for issuing alleged death threats to voters in Bolari West.
Gwamna was alleged to have issued parents in the locality with threat of losing their children should they allow their youths vote for PDP.
Our Correspondent reports that no fewer than 200 residents have so far endorsed a letter addressed to Independent National Electoral Commission, Police, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to arrest the politician.

Addressing journalists at the Muhammad Jubrin Barde campaign office, the Spokesman, Gombe state PDP campaign management council Ayuba Aluke, said the comment could jeopardise the existing peace in the state.
According to him, the people who are not APC members could be killed, threatened for not sharing the same political views as Gwamna.
He said, “In Bolari West, where one Alhaji Jamilu Ishaku Gwamna, went in a purported campaign where he made inciting comments. The comments are threatening the life and security of the people of Bolari West he openly threatened that anybody who comes out on the election to vote for any other person except his principal, party the APC, ‘his mother should be ready to give birth to another child’ this clearly.
“We are bringing up this issue to the notice of security agencies in the state; the Police, the Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Independent National Electoral Commission to checkmate and take appropriate action about this. Taking action will ensure sanity in the state. To PDP supporters don’t be afraid of coming out so that we can vote out this government that has held us backwards.”
Aluke disclosed that the PDP gubernatorial candidate Barde, has digitised politics, stressing that instead of the usual violence that politics in the state was characterised with, his principal would pursue legal means towards protecting Bolari West voters and the entire state.
“It has been dismantled and disbanded by Governor (candidate) and has not given it relevance in his activities. During the campaigns when we visited 114 wards nobody was hurt, nobody was threatened, we conducted our entire processes peacefully,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Spokesman of the council also condemned the dismantling of checkpoints within the state describing it as ploy for the security to clear Gombe State Governor’s alleged political thugs unhindered access.
“By that Directive, the good people of Gombe State can clearly see that it is merely a ploy to clear the way and grant free movement for the Governor’s political thugs – “OPERATION ACI KO TA BARE!”, to intimidate voters and unleash terror and violence before, during and after the Elections without Security intervention or resistance.
“This way, they can freely go to any Polling Unit during the Election to rig, disrupt and scuttle the Governorship Election and undermine the will of the Electorates which does not favour his failing re-election bid,” Aluke added.
