Women groups endorse Gov Yahaya for second term
….. As he doles out N3m, food items to support their families
Satisfied with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s, developmental stride thousands of women from different women groups across the 11 Local Government Areas of Gombe State were on Wednesday at the Government House to endorse and register support for the administration’s continuity ahead of Saturday 11th March Governorship and House of Assembly Elections.
The women groups in their numbers said they were satisfied with the Governor’s performance especially his inclusion of women in Government policies and programmes and pledged to vote massively for his re-election into office.
Addressing the tumultuous crowd of the women groups on behalf of the Governor at the New Banquet Hall Government House Gombe, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, appreciated them for the show of love to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration and called on them to cast their votes for the APC for more women empowerment in the State.
“women plays critical roles in nation building,” Yahaya stated while assuring of his continued support to better the lives of women folk if re-elected.
The visit which concided with International women’s day celebration, the Governor used the occasion to congratulate Gombe State women for witnessing yet another celebration and commended the entire women for their motherly role which translates to a better society.
Speaking further, Governor Yahaya said his Government would continue to protect the course of women and children assuring them of a better deal ahead if elected for a second term.
In their separate remarks Director contact and mobilisation of Inuwa campaign organisation Kabiru Usman Kukan Daka and Special Adviser Information and Strategy Ahmed Shuaibu Gara, urged them to canvass for massive support for the Governor and APC’s victory come Saturday,11th March 2023.
Earlier speaking, Representative of the women groups Jummai Adullahi, said they were in the Government House to register their total support to the governor’s re-election bid considering his credible record of performance during his first term in office promising to vote for all APC candidates come Saturday’s election.
During the visit Governor Yahaya donated the sum of N3m and assorted food items which include; 100 bags of rice,
100 cartons of noodles, and
100 cartons of spaghetti as support to their families.
