Some Executives of the All Progressives Congress in Bambam ward of Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State, have dissociated themselves from investigation of the senator representing Gombe south Amos Bulus.

Financial Secretary, Youth and Women leaders of the party in the ward while addressing journalists on Monday debunked threats of investigation, adding that they were not part of the attempt to investigate the senator neither were they consulted before the decision was taken.

The PERISCOPE NIGERIA had reported that the ward Chairman Muhammad Kaka, recently addressed press conference on the alleged anti-party activities carried out by the senator.

Kaka disclosed that Senator would face a five-man committee to investigate Bulus’ activities during the last election before recommending disciplinary action.

In a swift reaction, some leaders of the party in the ward led by the Financial Secretary Shuaibu Datti, dissociated themselves from the investigation and described the attempt as “as mischievous.”

According to Datti, the allegations were aimed at spoiling the chances of Bulus, ahead of appointment considerations, adding that “the investigation was not the general consensus of party faithfuls in the ward.”

Speaking separately, Assistant Youth Leader; Saleh Rabiu, and the Party Women Leader; Aishatu Abdullahi, said Senator Bulus has become a strong pillar of support in APC especially in Bambam ward, “Balanga local and Gombe State at large who has been working tirelessly for the party’s success,” they claimed.

They urged those with grievances to embark on dialogue instead of engaging in an attempt to tarnish Bulus’ image.
