DHQ ALLAYS FEARS ON UN FIGHTING VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT IN NIGERIA
The Defence Headquarters has reacted to a video clip of some United Nations Peacekeeping fighting vehicles and equipment sighted recently in Benin, Edo state.
A statement by the Acting Director Defence Information Brigadier-General Tukur Gusau, said the operational vehicles were on Transit to the Warri port for movement to peace keeping mission area in Southern Sudan alongside the Nation’s troops who were inducted into UNISFA mission last month.
“The Defence Headquarters assures Nigerians that the nation is not under any threat that will warrant the deployment of United Nations troops in our soil,” the statement added.
