Eid el-Fitr: Gombe CP assures residents of hitch-free celebration
The Commissioner of Police Gombe State Command CP Oqua Etim, has assured the Muslim faithfuls of hitch-free Eid el-Fitr celebration in the state.
Etim, made this assurance through a press statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer ASP Mahid, while felicitating with the Muslim ummah.
While reaffirming the command’s commitment towards the protection of life, property and the maintenance of law and order throughout the Eid Celebration,
The press statement said, “The Gombe State Gombe State Commissioner of Police wishes to felicitate with the Muslim ummah and the entire citizens of the State on this auspicious Sallah celebrations.
“In this regard, the Command in collaboration with other security agencies has emplaced proactive measures to neutralise any likely threats to the peace and security of the state.”
He urged parents to provide the needed leadership to their children, stressing that “Finally, the CP calls on parents/guardians to be watchful over their children/wards during this festive period and further advised the good people of the State to be conscious of their personal security and report any suspicious person/persons within their midst via NPF rescue me APP or emergency lines 08150567771, 09036435359, please.”
