…… as farmers commend Coordinator
RIFAN Special Project Team Gombe State Chapter has visited Dadinkowa Dam upstream farms for supervision of Dry season rice farming to access the level of compliance and successes recorded.
Umar Garba Tabaco Bajoga, the Dadinkowa Dam Upstream Cluster head noted that the contribution of the RIFAN Special Project farm input loan to rice farming in the state cannot be overemphasised.
He further stated that the number of young people empowered through the special project is numerous, adding that both direct and indirect jobs were created in the communities.
Bajoga said, “Per every hectare of Rice farm almost 13 people are empowered from harvesting, sawing, farming, and pre-season activities which are direct jobs talkless of indirect jobs provided as a result of purchase and selling of materials.
“I want to sincerely commend the effort of Alh. Dr Abubakar Muhammad Bello, Gombe State RIFAN Special Project Coordinator for all his effort in ensuring transparency and accountability of the program in the State and to the Central Bank of Nigeria for coming up with this initiative.”
