A group under the aegis of Southern Borno Youth Forum, has canvassed support for Mukhtar Aliyu Betara, as Speaker ahead of 10th Assembly in House of Representatives.

 

The Forum under the leadership of Comrade Musa Musa, made known it resolve in a press statement which was obtained by our correspondent soliciting to the President-elect and his vice to support their candidate’s aspiration.

 

Its also urged members-elect of the House of Representatives in the 10th Assembly to rally support for Betara, owing to his track record of performance.

 

 

 

Musa statement partly read, “We are soliciting newly elected President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his VP Kashim Shettima, and the newly elected members of the 10th Assembly of the Federal House of Representatives, to consider Rt Hon Mukhtar Aliyu Betara, and give him a chance to represent the House. He has the competence to carry the them to a greater heights.”

 

While reeling out the  impeccable records of Betara the group, disclosed that Nigerians would benefit from his transformational leadership, adding “The man Honourable Mukhtar Aliyu Betara, is a very passionate and considerate political leader. He is a natural humanitarian, and has prioritised the needs of the people over his.

“The political Titan made it a habit to help everyone around him be it his constituents known and unknown, he has crossed all odds to ensure that there is necessary amenities, and essential items which help and ease the lives of his constituents, and masses in order to eradicate poverty.

“He is exceptionally Hardworking,and has the trust of his people, because he is always available and always gives in to there demands without hurdles. Hon Betara is an exemplary icon not just to his constituents and society at large but also to his fellow politicians. He is not selfish nor biased,in his words ‘we all are one’,no ethnicity, tradition or religion stops him from discharging his duties in fair measures at all times.”

The Forum’s statement further noted that Betara deserved to represent the 10th Assembly, while urging members-elect to genuinely support excellence, “We urge for your honest recommendation,to enable the House to continue enjoying his unique style of leadership in giving back to the his Sub-ordinates and society at large.These are more reasons why Hon Betara should be the speaker Representing House of Rep 10th National Assembly of Nigeria.

“He has surpassed all expectations. He is a key supporter of all kinds of achievement, the steps he took to eradicate poverty in his constituency is applauded and admirable, he has initiated so many self empowering projects to help the communities in his constituency, his efforts and achievement are indescribable,” he said.

“Therefore, we urge the President-elect and its administration to give this gentleman a chance to showcase his distinctive talent and abilities by becoming the Speaker of the House to enable him carry out more responsibilities by using his distilled applauded credibility to take the House to its best heights.

“Rt Hon Mukhtar Betara Aliyu’s kinds are rare. We the youths charge the BAT/KSM administration to use politicians like him to strengthen our frail and unstable Democracy.

“He is a mentor and also an ideal role model to many politicians and youths,such gems should not be taking for granted, but rather be giving positions that will render them more useful to the society and country at large.We are sure of him 100 per cent in carrying out his duties and to deliver with utmost respect in true sense,” the statement added.
