The Gombe State Emergency Management Agency has advised members of the public to adhere to early warning signals concerning potential flooding in this year’s rainy season.
The advice from the Agency is backdrop alert of flood outlook across the country by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency and the Nigerian Hydrological Survey Agency.

In a press release signed by the Executive Secretary of the Agency Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi, he quoted the report by NiMet and NHSA as predicting high probability of flooding in Nafada, Balanga and Yalmatu Deba Local Government Areas of the State.
The Executive Secretary in the statement however, appealed to the remaining Local Government Areas of the State not to develop cold feet, “as there is likelihood that they may also experience flooding,” Abdullahi said.
