Edo Local Government Poll: Barr Alex Oleije Picks Owan West Chairmanship Nomination Form
….. Promises to make LG great again
As the Edo State Local Government elections gathers momentum, one of the frontline candidate for the chairmanship position in Owan West Local government area of the State, Barrister Alex Oleije, has picked the Peoples Democratic Party nomination forms with a promise to make the local government great again.
Oleije who was a former Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability made the promise while speaking to the press after the collection of the nomination forms from PDP secretariat in Benin City.
He said his priority if nominated as a flag bearer of the party in owan west local government area is to replicate the good work of the present administration of the governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, in the local government area and ensure the people get the dividends of democracy, change the narratives from political desertification to politics of all inclusiveness.
He further promised to explore the great opportunities that are abound in the area for the benefits of the great people of owan west local government areas of the Edo state , empowerment of the youths in the areas of skill acquisitions and soft loans for those teeming graduates that would want to go into agriculture,provide loans also to farmers for them to increase their inputs,the markets women and widows will also have a place in the administration
The grassroot politician who plies his business in ward three of the local government as a Lawyer, has had course to represent the people without payment for services rendered promised to continually have town hall meetings from ward to ward to know what they want and how it can be done (all inclusiveness) for the benefits of all in the owan west
Bar Alex Oleije used the occasion to appeal to the party supporters and members of PDP to nominate and make him the flag bearer so as to contribute to the growth and development of owan west local government .
