By Joshua Danmalam
The Gombe State Emergency Management Agency has embarked on a sensitisation visit to Nafada, Balanga and Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Areas.
The enlightenment campaign follows the 2023 flood outlook by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency and Nigerian Hydrological Survey Agency.

The three local governments are projected to be worst hit in the state.
The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi, called on the people in all the places visited to be vigilant as well as to ensure their blocked drainages are cleared.

Community leaders in the places visited expressed appreciation to the SEMA team for the awareness campaign and promised to maintain their environment at all times.
