Gombe NSCDC set to create seven additional Divisions
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State command, is set to have no fewer than seven additional Divisions, Outposts.

Our correspondent reports that the command so far operates 11 Divisions across the state.

Disclosing this in a press statement made available to journalists by the Public Relations Officer DSC Buhari Sa’ad, the creation of seven Divisions was part of Commandant Achir Abraham’s, charge during an inauguration of a seven-member committee.

Abraham was quoted to have urged the committee to create Outpost, where establishing a Division is impossible, adding that the essence was to ensure protection of lives and property in Gombe State.
Sa’ad’s statement disclosed that the committee has within one week to conclude its assignment.
The statement partly said, “In a bid to ensure maximum security of lives and property including critical infrastructure and assets of the citizenry in Gombe State, Commandant Achir D. Abraham, State Commandant Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Gombe State Command has inaugurated a seven-man Committee that is been saddled with the responsibility of creating additional Divisions and outpost in the State.”
While enumerating the seven members of the committee, the PRO said they were mandated to carry the community members along to enable them donate the needed office spaces and furnitures, “The Committee has Deputy Commandant of Corps Imam Deji as Chairman; AC Murtala Muhd Vice Chairman; AC Onyeke Emmanuel Member; SC Yuguda Abdulrasheed member; SC Muhammed I. Daniya member, DSC Adah S. Mogomya Member; DSC Buhari Saad Secretary.
“The terms and reference of the Committee are as follows; To create at least seven Divisions in addition to the existing ones 11 to bring the total to 18. To creat new outpost where it is not possible to create a Division.
“To consult with community development associations and if possible, the traditional rulers in carrying out the assignment.
“To ensure that the traditional rulers community development associations provide at least office accomodations with furnitures and toilets amongst other requirements,” the statement added.
