Gombe NYSC names Dawut Jidda new State Coordinator

The National Youth Service Corps has deployed Dawut Jidda, as the 17th Chief Executive Officer in Gombe State.

In a brief ceremony at NYSC Secretariat Gombe, outgoing Coordinator Ada Imoni, appreciated the support and cooperation she enjoyed from staff.
She urged them to give same to her successor in order to maintain good reputation of the Secretariat.
“I have enjoyed my stay in Gombe and could not have asked for a better crop of Staff. I appeal to you to give my successor the same cooperation,” she said.
In his address, the new State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Jidda, charged staff on career development and to further their studies, adding that every staff should exit the Scheme better equipped for the next phase of life.

He said, “It is a Shame to leave the Scheme without developing yourself or going for further studies. Do well to develop yourself.
Jidda also solicited the cooperation of staff in order to move the Scheme to greater heights.
He appreciated the reception accorded him by the Permanent Secretary. He maintained that, “the shoes left by Mrs Ada Imoni, will take determination, grace of God and support from the State Government to fill.”
Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth Development, Alhaji Mohammed Bajoga, has pledged the continuous support of the ministry to activities of the NYSC in the State.
Bajoga congratulated the outgone State Coordinator, Imoni on a successful tenure and prayed for better days ahead as she steps into the next phase of her life.
Jidda, hails from Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno State, Northeast Nigeria. He was born on 6th February, 1966. He is currently a Deputy Director, married and blessed with kids and the 17th Chief Executive NYSC Gombe State.
He gained admission into University of Maiduguri, where he bagged his first degree in History in 1995 and in 2015, he had masters in International Relations and Defence Studies from Nigeria Defence Academy.
After his first degree he was deployed to Anambra State for the one year mandatory service, where he served at Collins Vocational Institute, Umuorji, Idemili Local Government Area between 1995 and 1996.
