Just In: Gombe Gov emerges Northern Governors’ Forum Chair

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has emerged the new chairman of the Northern State Governors Forum.
Our correspondent reports that the NSGF comprises of governors across 19 northern states.
Confirming this to PERISCOPE NIGERIA in a text, Director-General Press Affairs Gombe Government House Ismaila Misilli, said “Breaking News: Governor Inuwa Yahaya Emerges Chairman of Northern States Governors’ Forum
“Details Shortly.”
Yahaya, succeeded the outgoing governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, as chairman of NSGF, after spending two terms in office.
Lalong held the position for over three years and has just completed his term of office.
Yahaya, who was elected governor in 2019, won his re-election bid to govern Gombe State for a second term in the 2023 general election
