Ready to Run movement takes hygiene sensitisation to GDSS Deba
The Ready to Run movement has taken hygiene and drug abuse sensitisation to students of Government Junior Secondary School, Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State.
The movement also sensitised female students on the importance of menstrual hygiene and taught them how to take care of themselves.
Pads were distributed to female students as a lot of them could not afford it.
The girls were taught practical steps on how to use and properly dispose it.
The movement called on the government to aid eradication of period poverty which is a leading case, as the price of pads keep surging and a lot of ladies could barely afford it.
The Team also urged the government to treat the matter with all seriousness as it’s an essential and basic need for the female gender in other to enjoy clean and healthy lives .
