Say no to abuse of social media platforms- Gombe NYSC Coordinator warns Corps members
The 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Corps members have been cautioned against abuse of social media platforms.


Gombe NYSC Coordinator Mrs Ada Imoni, stated this during the debriefing of Corps members at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada.
She said NYSC Management frowns at Corps members who upload videos/ pictures of Camp activities, post their grievances or send illicit pictures through any social media platform ,adding that, anyone caught would be sanctioned.


Imoni, also advised them not to grant interview to the press without the consent of the State Coordinator.
Speaking on the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme, the State Coordinator implored them to brace up for the post Camp training with their trainers, adding that, the ten day hands on training on camp was to arouse their interest in their chosen Skills.
“The post camp training will equip you adequately to be masters of your chosen Skills,” she said
On the 50th anniversary of the Scheme, Mrs Imoni said , Corps members would be expected to play a vital role in the week-long activities packaged to commemorate the golden jubilee of the Scheme.
She called on them to be alive to their responsibilities of keeping the NYSC visible and relevant.
Other issues discussed include: Monthly biometric clearance, channel of communication, night journeys, National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) and respect for members of their host Communities,their culture, traditions and norms among other things.
Zonal and Local Government Inspectors were also introduced to the Corps members by the Assistant Director Community Development Service,Mr Bala Mohammed Baba.
