Young Obop pleads for support
Beautiful Helen Daniel Obop, is a student Of Secondary Commercial School Mbiabong Ikot-Udofia in Akwa Ibom State.
She is from Ibiaku-Ntok Ókpó in Ikono local government area but currently resides with her grandparents at Ndiya-Ikot Imo in Ini LGA.
Joseph Bassey, who posted Obop’s story explained that the situation is pathetic, while pleading for medical and financial support for the minor.
He said, “Initially I thought it was the usual facebook fraud when we saw it online, but since I’m closer to the aforementioned area in Ini LGA, I decided to visit the little girl with my friend Ubong Sampson, to show some kindness to her and take some pictures/video with the sick girl to ensure it wasn’t a scam and to also solicit for her medical assistance.”
Narrating her ordeal Obop, disclosed that she suddenly fell ill since 2020 and was hospitalised at the Mercy Hospital located in Abak Local Government Area but was discharged due to her grandparents’ inability to fund the hospital bills.
“Since then we were only able to dress it because we do have enough funds,” Obop disclosed.
