ECWA Gospel Church offers Special Prayer for Gombe Gov, Deputy, their families, others
…says, they have been praying and shall continue to pray for peace, unity, towards socio-economic development
The Church service conducted at ECWA Gospel Church Off- Ashaka Road on Sunday took a slightly different dimension, as the congregation took time to offer special prayers for Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Danmajen Gombe, and his Deputy, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, their families, the entire State, nation and humanity.
The prayers were in appreciation to God for peace unity in the state as well as successful elections and swearing in to office of the Governor and his Deputy.

The Head Minister of the Church Rev. Dauda Adamu who, anchored the prayers also led a prayer for the Government systems in place that the Almighty God may end the deep rooted corruption that is eating the very fabric of the peace and sustainable socio-economic development of the state and the nation.
The Clergyman prayed God to favor and bless them with wisdom, protect them in the course of their administration in view of the frequent journeys and some of the exigencies of office.
To the Deputy Governor and the members of his family Reverend Dauda said ” You are a child of God, you are our representative, you are not alone. We have been praying, and shall continue to pray for you. We want to hear good things about you. The Lord will bless you, guide you, and protect you from temptation and from your journeys whether on the land, in the sky or on the sea. You will carry out your responsibilities well and finish well in Jesus name.”
The Pastor ceased the opportunity to call on the Christians to actively participate in politics so as to contribute to the development of democracy and good governance.
In his remarks the Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau appreciated the church for concern to pray for them always, pointing out that the State is progressing because of their prayers.

The Deputy Governor who was in company of his wife, Deborah and children, stressed the need for people to join politics so as to be able to contribute in determining their fate in decision making processes.
“Let me sincerely appreciate God for bringing us here. When I got the invitation through a text from the Pastor on whether I will be available for prayer. I told him that I will be available provided I go and come back from Jos, Plateau State where the ECWA President has invited me to attend the installation ceremony of the General Secretary, and two Trustees, one being our brother from Gombe State, Reverend Dr Isaac Laudarji.
“Prayers are what we required at this period of time especially as leaders who shoulder great responsibilities. Infact the prayers being offered are greatly responsible for the peace we are enjoying in the state.
“I concur with the call made by Pastor Dauda about people joining politics. When you refuse to join politics, the dress you wear, the food you eat, and other necessary things shall be determine by those in politics.
“The 2023 ECWA Theme” Occupy till I come” aims at encouraging members to occupy the businesses, politics and other spheres of life. How many christians are butchers? How many christians engage in other businesses?. We have left a lot of places unoccupied and that negates our principles. I hope we all shall brace up to occupy places for our good and to the glory of God.”

Associate Pastor of the Church Pastor Daniel Manu Faruk, who delivered the sermon spoke on the topic ” A reminder and a warning as we occupy”.
He drew his text from 1st Timothy Chapter Four verse one to five and reminded the congregation about Saint Paul’s warning to Timothy on the last days when heresies and dangerous teachings will abound and lead others to abandoning their faith.
He charged the congregation to hold unto their faith and never abandon it, no matter the situation in order to make it right with God.
The service also featured special renditions from women fellowship group and the church’s Choir.
