Emir of Gombe prays for peace, healing of Nigeria’s economy

Emir of Gombe Abubakar Shehu-Abubakar III on Friday during his sallah visit to Government House prayed for peaceful co-existence and healing of Nigeria’s economy in the future.
Shehu-Abubakar, who lauded the Governor his host Muhammadu Yahaya, prayed that the state, Nigeria would continue to prosper especially as the governor commences his second term.
He said, “We pray for the whole economy of Nigeria for the economy to be in good state. We pray for peace and more peace.”
On the reason for his sallah homage, Shehu-Abubakar said he was proud of Yahaya’s developmental strides, “One of our reasons of visiting Government House is to let you know that Gombe people are proud of their governor and they are convinced with the way he is ruling Gombe State especially in your first tenure. We pray that what you did in the first tenure will be surpassed in your second tenure,” he said.
He disclosed that Yahaya visited his palace first after been declared winner, stressing that he was convinced that he would perform, “We used to have conversation relating to Gombe State development and is just us that are involved. When the governor won the election he was at the palace which is his home to him, he visited me first. He assured me he won’t break his promise of massive development.
“No one is pointing accusing fingers on the governor for non performance and I’m proud of that on behalf of the Gombe State people I’m standing here to say thank you for all you have been doing for the people,” Shehu-Abubakar added.
On his part Governor Yahaya, commended the chairman of Gombe Emir and Chiefs for the confidence in his administration, adding that he would double his performance within the economic reality of the state.
