Gombe NSCDC deploys 780 personnel ahead of Eid-el-Kabir
……decorates 48 newly promoted officers

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, Gombe State Command, Achir Abraham, has deployed no fewer than 780 personnel ahead of Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the state.

Abraham charged them on Tuesday to provide security before, during and after the sallah celebration across all the 11 Local Government Areas of the state.
According to a press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Saad, the officers have been tasked to show professionalism.

“The deployment is drawn from the CTU, SWAT, Arms Squad, CNAI, Agro rangers, and Intelligence. You are to be professional in ensuring safety of lives and protection of critical assets in the state. I wish all the Muslims Ummah happy Sallah celebration,” Abraham was quoted to have said in the statement.
Meanwhile, about 48 newly promoted and upgraded senior officers of the command have been decorated into their various respective ranks amidst cheers from relatives, friends , families and professional colleagues.

The ceremony was witnessed and performed by Commander 301 Artillery Regiment General Support represented by Major A. Ornan, the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Commission Felix Theman and the Controller Nigeria Correctional Service represented by DCC Ezekiel M. Umaru.
Abraham charged the newly promoted officers to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the Nation as they prepare for higher challenges.
He said, “the promotion was based on your excellent performance at the promotional exams. I urge other officers that were not promoted not to give up but take it as a challenge to redouble their efforts.”
