Good governance: Taraba gov, PDP commence grassroot search for credible appointees

Taraba State Governor, Dr Kefas Agbu, and the Peoples Democratic Party, in the state on Friday commenced a grassroot consultation in search for credible hands for appointment as Commissioners and Special Advisers.
Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, PDP state chairman disclosed this to journalists in his office in Jalingo, said the decision was to ensure that governor Agbu delivers to the desire of the citizens.
The PDP chairman also disclosed that the governor had issued a directive to the party through the office the secretary to the state government, to embark on a grassroot consultation in search for credible citizens that would work diligently as Commissioners and special advisers for the development of Taraba State.
“The decision of the governor, directing the state PDP to embark on a grassroot consultation for credible people to be appointed Commissioners and special advisers is to ensure good governance for Taraba. The governor is not interested in imposition of candidates but those who would work for the best interest of the state.
“We have been advised to consult and get men and women of trusted character that would work and advise the governor base for the interest and development of Taraba state. We are going to work with the locals and traditional rulers to get the best that we want.
“The choice is not going to be base on who is popular in the local government but is going to be strictly by the locals trust, to guarantee the desire good governance for Taraba and her citizens,” Bawa disclosed.
