Man steals 21 cattle valued at N7m in Gombe
Sale Kabo, a 30-year-old resident of Bandila village in Gulani Local Government Area of Yobe State, has been arrested by the Gombe State Police command for rustling cattle estimated at N7 million.
Parading the suspect, command Public Relations Officer ASP Mahid Abubakar, said Kabo, stole the cattle at Funakaye LGA of the state.
He disclosed that the case was reported by Jauro Ahmadu, a 75 -year-old of Shuwari village in Bajoga Funakaye LGA, to the Bajoga Divisional Police headquarters that “his 21 cattle valued at 7 million naira had been stolen from his village at night,” Abubakar said.
According to the Police PRO, the Divisional Police Officer detailed his personnel to commence an investigation and they immediately swung into action, while rustlers to stay away from Gombe State as officers have been equipped with the requisite to end their activities.
Abubakar added, “After conducting a thorough investigation, Sale Kabo, was arrested in connection with the theft which he confessed. All the stolen cows and other relevant exhibits were recovered.
“The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged in court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”
