NUJ mourns NBC Zonal Director’s demise
The Zonal Director of National Broadcasting Commission Maiduguri, Hauwa Abba Kyari, has passed on.
Announcing the passage of the deceased Director, the Deputy National President of Nigeria Union of Journalists Alhassan Yahya, regretted her demise.
Yahya said, “Sad to announce the death of a senior colleague Haj Hauwa zonal Director NBC.”
Meanwhile, some journalists on Gombe NUJ platform have taken time to eulogise the late Zonal Director of NBC.
According to the immediate past Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists Comfort Mukollo, who recalled their times at University of Maiduguri, prayed for peaceful repose of Kyari.
She wrote, “Oh my God, my roommate at Unimaid.May her soul rest in peace.”
Also, Chairperson of Correspondents’ Chapel Hajara Liman, mourned the late Director, adding “RIP (Rest in Peace).”
On his part, Special Assistant to NUJ’s President Peter Mele, mourned the deceased on the platform.
“RIP (Rest in Peace) ma,” Mele wrote.
