Tackle those engaging in anti-party activities that can mar the chances of PDP in Taraba- Group warns
A political group, Concerned PDP Youths in Donga LGA of Taraba State says some of the issues raised against those who engaged in anti-party activity during the 2023 general elections in the LGA were not only true but explicit.
This was contained in a rejoinder signed and made available to Journalists in Jalingo by Joseph Markus Ibrahim, Taado Benjamin, Tanko Garpivala, Nubunga Mercy, Bawa Bitrus, Tsokwa Salisu, Bakari Inuwa, Jibrin Tsunabavyon, Uken Fwechi Bonny.
The group said it was imperative for them as the PDP Concerned Youths in Donga LGA to come out clearly on issues that border on the party, especially what they perceived as undermining the unity of the PDP.
They explained that they rejoined the PDP Chamba Youths to their letter of complaint over the Commissioners and Special Advisers Nominees list dated June 19, 2023 because the youths, having studied events before the primaries and afterward revealed some forms of hostilities and anti-party activities that if not checked can mar the chances of the PDP in Donga LGA.
The Concerned PDP Youths of Donga alleged that some persons because of “Selfish interest” adopted different means of tarnishing people’s images and engaged in anti-party activities, especially in the last elections as itemized by the Chamba youths.
The group highlighted some names of those who engaged in the alleged act including Hon. Taninga Binga.”This is a man that was helped by DDI but later romanced Senator Bwacha claiming that Bwacha helped him to become a Comptroller with the Customs.
“He was not seen during the elections and contributed nothing to the victory of the PDP as he was campaigning for APC at Nights and was stoned in one house by 2 am as a Sadist.
“Joel Sungbaa – This is a Sadist and the architect of all the problems and disunity in PDP at Donga, He found himself not only in Donga but within Donga, Takum, Ussa Federal Constituency.
“He bragged as an empty drum sounded. He was found buying votes during the last elections for the APC and was boldly saying PDP will never win, as Bwacha and Dinkomiya will win and all Agbu’s fans will vomit what they ate,” the group alleged.
According to them, It took the intervention of the MD of Taraba State Investment and Property LTD, Hon. Iliya Ezekiel, before PDP won in Akate Ward, alleging that in Dinga’s Polling Units at his Compound removed his shirts and fought with the people the MD sent to fight for Agbu/PDP to win in Akate as they claimed to have many witnesses.
“Hon.Panunga Bobga and Hon. Garleya both from Suntai Town. These two persons love thuggery and always incite and pitches people against each other at the Party. They connived to buy votes for the APC in Suntai to the detriment of the PDP. They went house to house to win votes for APC and were seen with many Youths that is why we lost at Suntai Ward, so painful.
“Danladi Sabo Tooh: This is the State PDP Treasurer who was helped by his friend Captain Ndatse but later stapped his friend at the back. No one can keep this wolf. He was just sleeping at home all through the elections as he only comes out at night to tell his people to vote APC.
“On the occasion of the re-run at Akate, himself, Garleya, Panunga, and Joel Sungbaa were sitting together planning evil against PDP in Akate, bought votes for the APC against Agbu. They were found talking that Bwacha will win so they should not waste their votes for Agbu.
“He should be removed as the Treasurer of the party on anti-party activities basis. We pass a vote of no confidence on him as a sadist, eye service, and betrayer of the highest level,” they requested.
The group further called on the leadership of the PDP to look into what is happening to the Party in Donga and help them unite to enable them to fight their opponent the APC and those APC members within the PDP.
They added, “If we don’t step up, in 2027, we shall see APC with full-blown horns within the Party and by then it will be too late.
“We request that all these people be suspended indefinitely from the party or be kept under close watch without having any political posts, otherwise, more people will do the same and come back to fighting for posts after others `suffered and won the elections as in the case of the last election.
“We salute the courage of the MD/CEO TRIP for salvaging the entire PDP in Donga, in 5 wards, Akate, Asibiti, Kadarko, Gyatta Aure, and Fada. A man of de-tribalized mind, a man of Integrity and honesty, a man of the people and for the people in Donga.
“A truthful leader, He is not around in all the position struggles but we know him as a first-class person to the struggle of the coming of His Excellency Dr. Agbu as a Governor in Donga, but his God will reward him accordingly.”
Recall that A group, identified as PDP Chamba Youths of Donga LGA in Taraba State on Monday urged Governor Agbu Kefas, to consider the loyalists of the Peoples Democratic Party in the area for appointments.
The group made the plea in a letter of complaint dated June 19 addressed to the Governor and made available to Journalists in Jalingo.
They alleged that some members of the party in the area engaged in anti-party activities during the last general elections and opposed their nomination for appointments in the present government.
