2. ANA Situation Room
3. ANA Watchdog

These platforms have been carefully selected to ensure efficient communication and facilitate meaningful interactions among ANA members across the country. With this decision, the Association seeks to centralize its operations, enhance transparency, and uphold the true values of ANA.

In a statement released by Maik Ortserga, the General Secretary of ANA, he emphasised the need to disband any other platforms operating under the name of the Association that have not been officially approved. Such unauthorised platforms do not represent the interests or principles of ANA and may cause confusion among members. The Association urges the administrators of these unauthorized platforms to comply with this directive promptly.

“ANA acknowledges the vital role played by WhatsApp groups in fostering engagement and cooperation among writers, but it is essential to maintain uniformity in communication channels to avoid misinformation and fragmentation within the community. By endorsing these three platforms, ANA seeks to create a more cohesive and supportive environment for all its members.

“All members of the Association are strongly advised to exit any WhatsApp groups operating under ANA’s name, which are not part of the approved platforms. This move ensures that ANA members participate in discussions and share information only on the officially sanctioned platforms, thus enabling more efficient and focused interactions,” the statement partly read.

The Association of Nigerian Authors added that it looks forward to strengthening its bond with members through these approved WhatsApp platforms, adding that “As we continue to promote the art of writing and literary excellence across Nigeria, these communication channels will play a pivotal role in fostering camaraderie and enriching the creative experience of all our esteemed members.”
