Dawut Jidda meets Camp officials, charges them on discipline, teamwork, zero tolerance to extortion, diligence
The State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mr Dawut Jidda, has called on Camp officials to be resident on camp and live above board, in order to lead by example.

Jidda, made that known during the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream I general meeting of Camp officials, held at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada, Gombe State.

He maintained that security, welfare of Corps members and discipline would not be comprised in the course of the exercise, adding that every Camp participant would be subjected to thorough checking at the gate to ensure that Participants are kept safe.

Speaking on extortion of Corps members, the State Coordinator said, banners on zero tolerance to extortion have been printed and pasted at strategic locations on camp, adding that the Scheme does not charge for services rendered to Corps members, adding that any Camp official found wanting of taking any form of gratification would be sanctioned accordingly.
Jidda, also cautioned them on careless talks on camp.
He maintained that official issues should be given some level of confidentiality, calling on Camp officials to guard their utterances, especially when in the midst of clients of the Scheme.
“Differences should be settled amicably among camp officials, bearing in mind that we are on camp to mould characters,” he added.
Jidda, also called on Camp participants to respect the Orientation timetable as time alloted to every camp activity would adhered to strictly.
“Unnecessary announcements, especially during the morning meditation should be minimized to give time for other activities on the timetable,” he maintained.
In his remarks, the Camp Commandant, Lieutenant S.T Simon, pledged to give his best to ensure the safety of all participants, calling on all to cooperate with the security apparatus on camp in order to ensure the success of the exercise.
The Camp Director, Mr Isaac Gwaza Maikur, in his brief, pleaded for all camp officials to work as a team, adding that he would be available for constructive criticisms and counsel at all times.
Meanwhile, the Resident Officer one, Mr Danjuma Gambo, also emphasised on the need to give Corps members a warm reception on arrival and report suspicious moves and persons to the security apparatus on camp.
