On this day, four years ago the demise of the esteemed Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde, occurred.

A prominent figure in the political arena, Oyerinde, who held positions such as the former Chairman of the Young Democratic Party  Public Relations Officer of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, in Osun State, and the immediate past Director of Information and Strategy of the Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties, departed from this world on the 7th of July, 2019, following a brief illness.

 

In a press statement released by the Association of Progressive Political Parties (APPPS) pays tribute to Dr Oyerinde, emphasising that his absence has created an irreplaceable void.

 

Mr Wole Adedoyin, the Coordinator of APPPS and the current Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Osun State, underscores Dr Oyerinde’s selfless dedication, unwavering commitment, and integrity in his service to Osun State and its people, which continue to inspire others.

 

Adedoyin further highlighted the admirable qualities embodied by Oyerinde, acknowledging that his life was a testament to sacrifice and serving the people, driven by unwavering integrity, he surrounded himself with individuals who shared similar values, and he remained steadfast in his commitment to uplifting the vulnerable in society.

 

The statement partly read, “As we observe this day, the Association of Progressive Political Parties offers heartfelt prayers for the family and loved ones of the late Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde. May the Almighty God grant them strength to endure the profound loss and find solace in the cherished memories of their beloved. We also pray for the eternal repose of Dr. Oyerinde’s soul.”

 

He disclosed that in honoring the memory of  Oyerinde, the APPPS stands united, adding that they pledge to uphold his legacy and promote the principles of selfless service, “integrity, and commitment that he exemplified. We encourage all political leaders and stakeholders to reflect upon his remarkable life and strive to emulate his virtues in the pursuit of a better society,” Adedoyin’s statement added.
