Gombe sets up committee to assess grazing, game, forest reserves, cattle routes
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has approved the constitution of a 25-man committee for the assessment of grazing, forest and game reserves as well as cattle routes in the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, on Wednesday conveyed the Governor’s approval, adding that the committee is under the chairmanship of AIG Zubairu Muazu Halilu Rtd, with Barr. Ibrahim Hussain and Rabiu Abubakar, as Legal Adviser as Secretary respectively.
Njodi added that members include, Alh. Hammadu Abubakar, ACP Ibrahim Bappa (Rtd), Hon. Muh’d Magaji Gettado, Col. Abdullahi Bello (Rtd), Hon. Lamiya Simon, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Walama, Mal. Ibrahim Musa Miyabe and Col. Sani Adamu Depsia (Rtd).
Others are, Dr Barnabas Malle, Alh. Ali Jijji Gadam, Hon. Umar Ahmad Suleiman, Hon. Shuaibu Umar Galadima, Mr. Dauda Batari Maaji, Hon. Mamman Alkali, Surv. Zakari Abubakar Difa, Surv. Umaru Lamido, Surv. Bakari Keletuma and Modibbo Sadeeq Ahmed.
“The committee also has as members; State Chairman of MACBAN, Modibbo Yahaya Gombe, State Chairman, Kautal Hore, Ardo Chindo Abubakar, State Chairman of Jode Jam, Alh. Ahmed Bello Gombe, a Representative each of Commissioner of Police, Director of Security and Commandant Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
“All the appointments are with immediate effect,” Njodi added.
