NHL: Team Nasarawa record big win over Edo-based team AIIDIA
Nasarawa State Handball Team Kick-started their 2023 National Division One Handball League on a fantastic fashion.
The Coach Musa Oji Sabo-tutored side mauled Aiida FC of Edo State by 28 to 20 points in their first Group B match played on Sunday evening at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State.
In a press statement signed by Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Eche Amos, Team Nasarawa had gone into the interval leading 16-10, while goalkeeper, Terese Precious, had to be at his athletic best, including stopping a couple of penalties to prevent their opponents from scoring, upon resumption.
From there onward, Team Nasarawa were unstoppable, registering 12 more points, and held on to the scoreline until regulation time.
Their next file out against Team COAS who had earlier beaten Team Kebbi State, by 4pm, on Monday, 24th July, 2023, at same venue.
Team Cross-River State were on standby in Sunday’s Group B activities.
The resounding victory sees the Nasarawa State Handball Team tentatively standing behind Team COAS by a goal difference in the Group B point chart.
