Osogbo Book Club congratulates Oloyede on his appointment as acting Registrar
The Osogbo Book Club has expressed her delight and offered her sincere congratulations to Mr Abiodun Oloyede, on his well-deserved appointment.
The Founder of the Club and President of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers Wole Adedoyin, acknowledged that the appointment of Oloyede as the Acting Registrar of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, was a perfect fit for his exceptional abilities and vast experience.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke’s decision to appoint Mr. Oloyede was met with widespread approval, as he has consistently demonstrated his commitment and dedication to the literary community in Osun State. The Club’s Founder commended the governor for recognizing the invaluable contributions of Mr. Oloyede and selecting him for this important role,” the statement said
Our correspondent reports that the official appointment letter, addressed to the Rector of the polytechnic, was delivered by Mr M.A.K. Jimoh, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education. As per the letter, Mr Oloyede assumed his duties immediately upon receipt of the appointment.
“It is worth mentioning that Oloyede played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Osogbo Book Club. During his tenure as Chairman of ANA Osun State, he graciously accepted an invitation to be the first guest speaker at the Club’s inaugural workshop, which took place in 2012 at the Osun State Branch of the National Library of Nigeria,” Adedoyin said.
He disclosed that Osogbo Book Club considers Mr Oloyede’s appointment as a significant milestone not only for him but also for the literary community in Osun State. They believe that his wealth of knowledge and experience will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Osun State Polytechnic and contributing to the advancement of education and intellectual growth in the state.
He added, “Members of the Club expressed their confidence in Mr Oloyede’s ability to bring positive change to the institution. They commended his exceptional leadership skills, his passion for education, and his unwavering commitment to promoting literature and the arts.”
The Osogbo Book Club vowed to continue supporting Mr Oloyede in his new role and pledged their readiness to collaborate with him on future literary initiatives. They believe that his appointment will further strengthen the ties between the literary community and the academic sector in Osun State.
