There are about 30 property bought by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and his proxies outside Abia State with Abia State funds while the God’s Own State wallowed in abject poverty.

At a time our aged pensioners were dying of hunger due to nonpayment of pensions and gratuties, the immediate past Governor of Abia state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu taught it wise to purchase a hotel at Osborne Foreshore Estate 1 in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Nigeria for a whooping sum of 1.2billion naira. He left the management of the hotel with a partner in crime named Mr. Raymond Aliga. The hotel is named Arise Suites.

Fusion lounge is a restaurant, sports bar and club, all in one place at The Lake Square Plaza,Jabi, Abuja. It has beem traced to Jamike Ikpeazu who is Dr Ikpeazu’s first son.

Ikpeazu alongside Mr Kelechi Chidu Imeoria borrowed 7.2 billion Naira from UBA. Abia’s FAAC account was used as collateral for this loan.

A property located at Gwarinpa, 3rd Avenue has also been traced to Mr. Agbazuere. His daughters actually reside there.

I have dedicated the last 1 year investigating and exposing the actors who have contributed in milking Abia dry, leaving Abia in a state of comatose and hopelessness. Abia is a rich State rendered poor and epileptic by those we have hired as drivers

The outgoing government of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu would be leaving the stage as the most corrupt government to have ever mounted the saddle of Abia governance..
.
Check-off dues are contributions civil servants in parastatals make to help themselves while in active service. These dues are deducted from their salaries every month, and the resources given to one person, and the circle begins again.

Ikpeazu pocketed these check off dues for 13 months

The money in question does not belong to the government, but to those making t

Have you seen the kind of people running Abia finances with Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu? Any person who tampers with any thing welfare or entitlements that accrue to civil servants shouldn’t be called a good financial expert. You owe civil servants who are poorly renumerated their salaries and still have the mind to pilfer their own welfare packages that they contributed themselves and you go home and sleep soundly.

During ikpeazu’s tenure which lasted for eight years, no ministry, department or agency received over head fund to run their ministries.
This is about 240 million naira for every year..
A whooping 1.9 billion naira yet workers were being owed.

The above amount was said ti be pocketed by ikpeazu’s Accountant General, Mr Imeoria.

A situation whereby the Governor of a State embezzles public funds with such depravity, brings about similar attitudes among his cabinet and appointees.

Staff of Abia state Physical Planning and Infrastructure PPDIF recently pleaded with the new administration in the state to investigate the Chairman of the Board , Chief Ezebunwa Ubani ot looting and financial misappropriation.

A protest by the staff was lead by Oguobi Emeka Oguns who revealed that A Hummer bus had been approved by OVI to purchase after Ezebunwa deceitfully sold off four other vehicles already in the fund i.e PPIDF BOARD.

His reasons were that the vehicles were in very bad shape while they were not.

On purchase of the Hummer bus, he refused to brand it with the office name as it should have been but tactically diverted it to his personal use, withheld it even after the several warnings of returning government properties until revelations of such was investigated and found.

Still at large is the light green Hilux van which has been traced to his custody properties of the PPIDF BOARD.

It has also been discovered that the same former chairman Ezenbunwa Ubani made fresh appointments in November 2022 and backdated them to 2019 as staff of PPIDF and posted them to different ministries and agencies of the state government where they were regularised as civil servants while he excluded the real staff of the fund he met on assumption as the Chairman in 2019 when the board was reconstituted denying them their salaries owed from 2018 march and without formerly disengaging them.

Most of Ikpeazu’s Permanent Secretaries and Parastatal Board Chairmen are not left out of this looting spree
Permanent Secretaries are career civil servants and can only be protected through career progressions, and no permanent Secretaries are to be in office as a permanent Secretary for more than 5 years if they follow normal process or procedure for for promotion because it was towards the end of your retirement that you will become a permanent Secretary through written interview promotion examination, but in Abia State a permanent Secretary can be appointed from grade levels 12 officers to grade levels 16 and 17 in Abia State. ,
