Gombe gov releases N556m to CSDA – General Manager
The Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has released the sum of N556m to the state Community and Social Development Agency for the second batch of intervention under the GO-CARES programme.
The General manager CSDA, Mallam Haruna Ahmed Imam, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion, disclosed this during the commissioning of a block of classroom and office; renovation of classroom, and office and graduation of pupils of Walin Kwami Primary School at Palta in kwami Local Government Area of the state.
In a press statement signed on Friday, by the Public Relations Officer of CSDA Comfort Mukollo, “the General Manager further revealed that so far under the second phase of the programme, CSDA has constructed 17 blocks of classrooms and furniture, constructed 15 primary health care centres, 30 VIP toilets, 23 boreholes, 1 Earth rain water harvester and provision of Nutritional Complementary food to 4000 beneficiaries,” the statement partly read.
Imam, therefore, appreciated Governor Yahaya, for the prompt release of funds and commitment towards the GO-CARES Programme, and commended the member representing Kwami West in the state House of Assembly Honourable Siddi Buba, for his concern towards the project even as he congratulated Palta community for benefitting from the project and advised them to take ownership of the project through proper maintenance.
Other speakers at the occasion include the Deputy Chairman All Progressives Congress Gombe State, Alhaji Baba Abuja, Honourable Siddi Buba, Professor Sale Abdu Kwami, Permanent Secretary Ministry for Rural, Community Development and Cooperatives Alhaji Suleiman Musa, Representative of SUBEB Alhaji Yuguda and the District Head of Kwami Alhaji Musa Abdu II.
They all appreciated Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for providing dividends of democracy to the populace, especially the GO-CARES project which is touching the lives of the poor and vulnerable.
The speakers also commended the CSDA which is one of the implementing platforms of the GO-CARES programme for the hard work, dedication and delivering on its mandate.
Our correspondent reports that the commissioned project was constructed by the CSDA, through the Palta women Group.
