Gombe Govt tasks Lincoln University Malaysia on take off of campus in Kumo
…….as the NUC visits University campus for assessment
The Management of Lincoln University Malaysia has restated its commitment to the take off of its campus in Kumo, Gombe State.

This is part of an interactive session held between Gombe State Government and Management of the University Preparatory to an inspection visit of the National University Commission NUC next week.
In a presentation, the leader of the team Dr. Murtadho Alao, said some of the issues that hindered the take off was institutional approval by the NUC which installs change of name, accreditation of proposed courses of study among others assuring that as soon as these processes are completed academic activities will commence.

In his submission, the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who led the Government team expressed Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s, concern over the delay in the University take off and charged the visiting management team of Lincoln University to fast track the processes to guarantee the take off.
He said Gombe State Government on its own part is willing to do whatever it is required to see to the smooth take off and stressed the need for effective synergy between all stakeholders.
The SGS said government is desirous of ensuring the take off of the University which he said “will boost education, generate employment as well as boost social economic activities within the host community and the state in general.”
