Gombe NSCDC gets 12th Commandant, as Mohammed Muazu assumes
Following the retirement from service of Abraham Achir, erstwhile Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mohammed Bello Muazu, has assumed office as the 12th Commandant in Gombe State command.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the ceremonial leadership transition, Commandant of Corps CC, Mohammad Bello Muazu, who formally assumed duty as the Commandant of NSCDC, Gombe State Command, took place on Monday.

The assumption of duty was preceded by a brief and impressive handing/taking over between him and his predecessor, Commandant Abraham Rtd who statutorily, retired from active service on the 27th July, 23.
In his farewell address, Commandant Abraham thanked all officers and men particularly, his management staff for their support throughout the period of his tenure. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the same level of support to his successor.

Expressing his gratitude, Commandant Muazu acknowledged the trust and confidence placed in his appointment by the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to rejig, revamp and reposition the Command.
He therefore, added that he would consolidate and build upon the good foundation and would also seek to propel NSCDC Gombe State Command to greater heights, he urged officers to be dutiful at all times.
He emphasised the need for team work and collaboration to uplift the Corps and for a safer Gombe State.
On Assumption of duty, he called on the general public to be law abiding and advised criminals of all forms to relocate, “for Gombe State will no longer be a safe heaven for them. The Corps is ready to synergize with other sister security forces and services to bring the rate of crime to a standstill or at least to a barest medium level. The Corps is also ready to cooperate in the sphere of governance at all levels to achieve the goals of Government in the State, by helping to ensure peace and tranquility . During the handing over and taking over , the Commandant’ was dismayed with the spade of social vices encouraged by some unscrupulous elements and enemies of the State, co-opting the youths into all forms of social vices that crippled their well being,” he said.
Muazu called on these elements to discard the idea and opt for betterment of the youths. He then called on the youths to be law abiding citizens and to shun away any form of social vices. The Commandant, expressed his gratitude to the media in the State for their unalloyed support to the Corps and the state, and further called on them to maintain the good tempo, they are known for in the State.
