Gombe Partners’ Forum lauds govt for providing good atmosphere to operate
The Ministry of Health supported by Centre for Integrated Health Services, has held the 2023 second quarter Partners Forum Meeting to chart way for effective implementation of activities.

Declaring the Forum opened held at Evaluation Hotel Gombe, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Alhaji Danladi Adamu represented by Permanent Secretary designate Alhaji Mohammad Jalo, said the meeting which comprise of all Development Partners in the health sector was to rub minds, share experiences, challenges and way forward.

He said the state is benefitting alot from the activities of development partners and hoped for continuous good working relationship.
Also, in an address, the Permanent Secretary Budget Planning and Development Partner Coordination Office Alhaji Abubakar Dauda, commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for providing a conducive atmosphere for partners to operate effectively .

He said the establishment of the Budget, Planning and Development Partner Office has aided in coordinating activities of partners and spread of activities.
In their goodwill messages representatives of the donor partners which include the centre for Integrated Health Services, Idris Mohammad Foundation, Network for Health Equity Development appreciated the state government for providing a conducive atmosphere for their operations in the state and pledged continued services.
The Director Planning, Research and statistics, Ministry Of Health Dr Suraj Abdulkarim, highlighted objectives of the forum to include strengthen, the donor Coordination by identifying gaps for donor interventions in the state.
Other objectives he added are to link donor intervention with current state of health indicators and performance in the state and to chat a way forward on improvement plans and strategies in ensuring better performance of the health sector.
Speaking on successes recorded following commencement of the partners Forum Meeting, Abdulkarim said one remarkable achievement is mapping of partners which included what they are doing, and how many local government areas they are covering in the area of health support.
He said there are six pillars of health system building block adding that the partners meeting has accorded the opportunity to know the gaps, which local government area has gaps or not .
Abdulkarim said the aim is to also avoid duplication of duties by Partners, saying with support of state government and partners maternal mortality rate is reducing in Gombe State.
Each Partner at the forum made presentations on success stories, challenges and way forward.
Some of the Partners included CIHP,State2State Activity, Marie Stopes,Idris Mohammed Foundation .
The Partners’ meeting is a coordinating forum designed to enhance collaboration and synergy amongst state partners who support the health sector.
In addition to fostering partnerships and coordination, the forum serves as an avenue for information dissemination and experience sharing.
It was gathered that there are twenty one active Partners working in the health sector in Gombe State operating in one thematic area or the other .
