Gombe tasks Emirs, Chiefs on loyalty, commitment
The Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has continued his interaction with stakeholders in the Traditional Institution across the state, following the transfer of the affairs of chieftaincy matters to the SGS’ office by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, recently.

The engagement according to Njodi was to among other objectives sensitise the Traditional rulers on the new development and to also remind them of government’s huge expectations from them in terms of peaceful co-existence in the state.
The latest interaction was at the Palace of Mai Tangle, Alhaji Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba, shortly after Professor Njodi flagged off the Billiri Local Government distribution of palliatives on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Addressing the Mai Tangle, District and Village heads at the Mai Tangle Palace on Saturday, said the transfer of Chieftaincy Affairs to his office was also intended to accord the traditional institution the necessary attention it deserves.
He informed them that with politicking and electioneering over they are required to provide support to the State government through absolute loyalty as insubordination and sabotage to policies and programmes will no longer be condoned.
While assuring them government commitment to their welfare, Processor Njodi insisted “that punitive measures will be taken against any one found wanting in the discharge of his responsibility.”
In his submission the Mai Tangle Alhaji Maiyamba, expressed delight over the transfer of the Chieftaincy Affairs to the SGS’ office and assured their undiluted loyalty to government and appreciated Yahaya for providing palliatives to the people.
