The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday reacted to the replacement of Maryam Shettima, former ministerial-nominee from Kano.
Our correspondent reports that 44 year-old Kano State-born Shettima, nomination caused buzz online, which led to the withdrawal and subsequent replacement with Dr Mariya Mahmoud.
Adeboye, who was ministering on the topic looking unto Jesus, during the church’s monthly thanksgiving service monitored by our correspondent, urged members to look at God for help, adding that help from man may fail.
According to the revered Clergy, when one focuses on God, He blesses the seeker with permanent testimonies not one that would be short-lived.
Adeboye disclosed that noted that when his God promotes an individual, screening would not be required.
He said, “Someone’s name was submitted to the Senate where she was to be screened only to be told your name has been withdrawn. That’s not my God, when my God promotes you, you have been promoted. When he promotes you, you don’t need any screening.”
