Yobe employs 2,670 graduates to strengthen workforce

The Yobe State Government has employed 2,670 fresh graduates to fill existing gaps required for efficient service delivery as well as to fast-track the growth and development of the state.
The State Head of Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, stated this while briefing newsmen in his office, where he disclosed that most of the Civil servants who moved from Borno to Yobe State have retired.
He said the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni, has employed 2,670 degree holders including HND, NCE, and Diploma holders from 178 political wards of the state.
According to him, out of the 2,670 employed graduates, 890 were degree/HND holders, 890 were NCE holders, 890 were Diploma holders, adding that the newly employed workers have started their biometric data capture as scheduled by the office of the Head of Service.
Bilal said Buni’s administration in the last three years succeeded in employing over 5000 graduates including the newly employed 2670 degree, HND, NCE, and Diploma holders most of whom were posted to various ministries and departments geared towards strengthening the workforce for better service.
