Gala Houses: Bilal led taskforce visits NSCDC HQ, flash points to ensure strict adherence to Gov’s directives
A taskforce to ensure full compliance with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, directive on the closure of Gala Houses in Gombe State has toured some flash points in Gombe metropolis to ensure strict adherence with the Governor’s directives.
At the Gombe State Headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps those arrested at the various Gala Houses were paraded before the taskforce by the Commandant of the Corps Muhammad Bello Muazu.
The suspects in an open interrogation before members of the taskforce admitted to engaging in immoral activities at the point of arrest.
Those paraded are within the ages of 18 and 25 years with some of the suspects from Kano State, while the others are residents of Gombe metropolis.
In a brief sermon to the suspects the organising Secretary of JIBWIS Shagon Goro Ustaz Mohammed Lawal Danladi, and the State CAN Chairman Reverend Father Joseph Alphonsus Shinga, admitted that both Islam and Christianity frowns at any act that does not glorify God.
The clergymen however, told the suspects that God is always prepared to forgive them their sins if they truly seek for his forgiveness.
The taskforce thereafter visited the trailer park where a Gala House has since been condoned off.
Chairman of the taskforce Group captain Bitrus Bilal (retd) said the taskforce will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the directive by Governor Yahaya, on the closure of all Gala Houses in the state is enforced.
It will be recalled that Governor Yahaya had issued a directive ordering the immediate closure of all Gala Houses in the state.
