Gombe United unveils Baba Mohammed-Usman as new Technical Adviser
Preparatory to the commencement of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier League Football competition, the management of Gombe United Football Club has on Sunday unveiled a new Technical Adviser Baba Mohammed-Usman.
Our correspondent reports that Mohammed-Usman is also known as Baba Ganaru.
Unveiling the new Technical Adviser to newsmen, the General Manager of Gombe United football club Abubakar Yellow, appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his unwavering support to the team which he said has sustained it in the top division of Nigerian Football league.
Flanked by the club’s Secretary Bala Abubakar, Welfare Officer Bulus Kilando, and other top management officials of the team, the General Manager also commended the teeming supporters of the club and the entire people of the state for continually supporting and identifying with the club in all situations.
He said, “attracting and convincing the new team Technical Adviser to signed for the Club wasn’t an easy task given his coaching pedigree describing Baba Ganaru as a seasoned and experience coach who has tutored top class teams in the likes of Elkanemi Warriors,Lobi Stars, Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars with whom he won the Nigeria Premier league.”
The General Manager maintained confidence in the ability of the new coach not to only continue from the former Technical Adviser left but to surpass previous achievements.
Fielding questions from newsmen shortly after his unveiling, the new Gombe United Technical Adviser Mohammed-Usman, lauded government under Muhammadu Yahaya, and the management of Gombe United for finding him worthy of the job assuring that he will do his best to improve the standing of the club.
The Technical Adviser however appealed for the understanding and patience of the club’s supporters as part of his task is to build a team that has been depleted following mass departures of players.
Born in 1967 coach Mohammed-Usman who played the game of football went through various coaching trainings and is currently a C-grade FIFA coaching certificate holder.
The event also witnessed the unveiling of a new Media Officer (MO) for Gombe United FC, Shehu Mohammed Angazi by the General Manager of the club Abubakar Yellow.
