Gombe working out strategies of integrating reforms into Civil Service – Njodi
The Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, says government is working out strategies of integrating the recommendations of Bureau for Public Service Reforms into the operations of the Civil Service Commission.

Njodi disclosed this when he received in audience Chairperson and members of the Commission in his office on Wednesday, said the idea was to place the service in tandem with best practices for optimum productivity.
He noted with regret that Inuwa Yahaya administration inherited a disoriented and complex Civil Service with low moral operating in total disregard to laid down procedures which necessitated the need for reforms undertaken by the Bureau for Public Service Reforms.

While appreciating the Chairperson and members of the Commission for accepting to serve the state after their retirement from years of service to the nation encouraged them to remain positive as things will change for the better.
He further acknowledged the Commission’s concerted efforts to see changes happen swiftly assuring that he will present their concerns to the Governor as soon as he returns to the State.
The Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission Hajiya Rabi Shuaibu Jimeta, had earlier in her submission congratulated Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, on his reelection which she underscored the trust and confidence people of the state has in his purposeful leadership.
Jimeta also used the occasion to congratulate the SGS on his reappointment describing it as reward for loyalty, steadfastness good leadership and commitment to the ideals and aspirations of the Inuwa Yahaya administration.
The Civil Service Commission Chairperson also reminded the SGS that the Commission which by law has the mandate of recruitment, promotion and discipline of workers in the service has suffered neglect over the years appealing for urgent intervention to enable it deliver on It’s mandate.
Jimeta was accompanied to the visit by Permanent Commissioners Dr Garba Mohammed, Builder Masoyi Sajo, Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Bello, and other senior officials.
